Optimizing your website is always recommend in order to keep up running smooth, avoid downtime and performance issues. If your website is running slow, or times out intermittently with various error messages is most likely due to poor optimization. This is caused by the website using more resources than the server is able to provide. As we offer shared hosting, we cannot allocate additional resources to individual customers - and chances are, even if we did, the website would most likely hit a limit eventually anyway. The website would also still take a long time to load and be sluggish.
You can see what limits you are exceeding in particular by logging into cPanel and view the Statistics Section on the sidebar located on the right side hand of the cPanel backend.
For starters we recommend running speed check on Google pagespeed: https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/
This provides us with an unbiased results of how your website is performing. A low score indicate there is work to be done. We recommend reviewing the feedback Google provides to herlp determine how to better optimize your website.

- Sign up for Resource notifications - By adding your email address to the cPanel account you automatically get notified regarding any resource concerns, what kind of issues are occurring and when they occur. Theme - Your theme is essentially your website and a poorly optimized theme can take a big performance hit. Try upgrading the theme to the latest version, or use a theme that is more simple, and see if it makes a difference. If there is not a recently updated version of your theme consider using an alternative theme.

Plugins - Plugins make a huge difference in performance. First, make sure all plugins are running the latest version. If plugins are discontinued or haven't been updated for a long time, consider replacing them. You can disable all plugins and enable them 1 by 1 in order to locate plugins that eat up a lot of resources. You can also install plugins that help optimize. Wordpress.org has a huge library of plugins and they do a good job of displaying how long ago the plugin was updated:

Trim content – The more images, scripts, plugins and cluttered themes all take up resources. If you reduce the amount of images, plugins, videos and imported objects on your website, or spread them out through various section you should see better load times.

Update everything - Make sure everything is updated to the latest version. Not only will this increase performance, but it also keeps your website and hosting significantly more secure. Versions that frequently need to be updated includes:

- PHP
- Theme
- Plugins
